Little Personal Discoveries

Felt an urge to write this post so that i can look back and read this post.
- First of all, I need to realise that I am not stupid.
- I just need to calm down and have lots more confidence in myself especially when i am faced with a uncertain situation or challenge. I need to change my mindset and mentality. Remember the time in year 1 when my brain decided to shut down during the first programming in lab exam and i scored 15/100 (for my program being able to compile)? The questions were doable but i was so stressed that i could not focus. What a waste. Don’t let my fear overwhelm me. Just do my best and have confidence in myself to move forward and focus on what is at hand. Fortunately in the following second programming lab exam, I did much better and was able to score above median marks :’) because of my changed in mindset.
- Don’t be scared of slowing down. I don’t have to understand everything at the first glance. I need to be able to slow down, read documentation and understand the whole picture first especially when doing programming tasks. Chill and understand first.
- Due to my nature of wanting to quickly finish things fast, I tend to make careless mistakes. I need to remember to always re-iterate through the code I have written and make sure to check through thoroughly before concluding that I have completed it.
- Stop the habit of being long winded when texting people. 不要人家问你一句,你答十句。I’ll just end up annoying people.
That’s all i can think of, for now. I will be back to add more stuff to this list when i think of anymore.
