TL;DR: It took me around three months from the time my citizenship application was approved to receiving my Singapore passport and IC.

Step 1: Submit your citizenship application on the

ICA website.

Step 1a: Follow the instructions and upload all the required e-documents.

Step 1b: Submit and Pay $100 application fee

Step 2: Sit back and relax. The processing time can range from a few months to a year or more.

The processing duration can vary for different individual. It can be as short as a few months to slightly over a year. I suggest not to overanalyse it or be stressed over the processing duration.

To make sure that you don’t waste your $100 application fee, do check the eligibility criteria before submitting an application.
